Comments: A recent MRI identified nerve compression at C5 and C6 and required prompt ACDF surgery. After consultations with two recommended neurosurgeons, I chose Dr. O’Connor.
The thought of surgery on my spine was alarming (an understatement) but Dr. O’Connor methodically walked me through procedure and answered several questions the other surgeon was unable to clarify. His methods are current compared to the other surgeon, his style instills confidence, and he was empathetic regarding my situation.
Now let’s talk about results:
- My two disk ACDF was on Sep. 13th
- Back home on Sep. 14th and was eating regular food
- Walked 3.5 miles on Sep. 15th and stopped all pain medication
- Today is Sep 31st my neck is a little stiff but I have excellent mobility
To summarize, in two weeks my pre-surgery pain, limited mobility, and numbness issues are fading away and I am excited to return to my active life again, all thanks to Dr. O’Connor!
