Comments: 11/8/2023 was a life-changing day for me. I . Dr. not get out of bed. I could barely take a breath due to excruciating low back & leg pain. I had a history of 3 prior spine surgeries so I tried to overcome this episode by myself. When it became apparent that I was unsuccessful I went to see Dr. Timothy O’Connor. I went reluctantly because all of my doctors were up north but I could not travel beyond the Marcus Neuroscience Institute as I was practically wheelchair bound. Dr. O’Connor assured me that he could help me because he specialized in complex spines. I believed him! He sat silently during most of my initial visit & just listened to me. How unique…a doctor who actually listens to his patients. After addressing a few “bumps in the road” I had 2 more surgeries performed in August 2024. Thanks to Dr. O’Connor’s skill & expertise (& every member of his team) I am 3 1/2 months postop & pain free. I am walking 5 miles a day & improving every day. Dr. O’Connor is responsible for giving me back my life. He is the kindest & most humble human being I have ever met. No matter how busy he is, he always makes me feel like I am his only patient. Dr. O’Connor is the “SPECIAL” in “SPECIAL-ist”!
